…the last two years have really, really sucked. However, I finally sold my house in Dallas that I haven’t lived in for 9 months, I’ve been able to reconnect with my family, and I can see the greener pastures that are just up ahead.

First of all, I’ve been delivering software for 10 years, so I understand the complexities involved and the challenges of catching all the defects. However, what I cannot excuse a SEV-1 defect on the first screen caused by pressing a very prominent button. Here is the screen that loads when I try to start the game now:

Medieval-II-Update-2

When I click the “Settings” button, I get this:

Medieval-II-Update-2b

It is nice to see them using .NET, but this is really aggravating given the current state of the game. There are numerous game-play defects and the patch has already been delayed multiple times because of quality issues. Goodness.
